5 FUN Easter Activities for Kids
With the arrival of Spring and Easter comes an array of activities that you can enjoy with your little ones. In this post, we have 5 FUN Easter activities for kids to enjoy this season!
Grab your keys mama and head to your local Target for a few budget-friendly, aesthetically pleasing and kid-approved items. Don’t forget to grab your Starbucks!

Materials Needed
All items for this project were purchased at Target and matches with documents provided in links but you can use from any retailer.
1. Plastic Easter Eggs (48 count) $3
2. Plastic Easter Eggs (6 count) $1
3. Plastic Easter Basket (Buy for the # of kids) $1
4. Easter Grass Filler (any color) $2
Other Items Needed or Purchase
- Large Plastic Bin
- Sensory Bin or Sensory Table
- Sharpie Marker
- Painters Tape
- Ladle spoon
- Printer with Ink
- Popsicle stick
Easter Alphabet
For this project, grab a sharpie, grass filler, a bag of Easter eggs to create an alphabet for your toddler or preschooler! You will want to make sure to have enough eggs for the alphabet, 26 letters.
We got the 48 count Easter Egg bag at Target for $3 and had the sharpie already at home but any Easter egg pack will work.
Fill the bin with grass filler, select 26 eggs to write letters (Top/Upper Case, Lower/Lower Case). A great project for preschoolers who are learning their alphabet and can match letters together!
The Great Eggscape
In this activity, you will need plastic Easter eggs, painters tape, a large plastic bin, and ladle spoon.
I used a 56qt Storage Box by Brightroom from Target and we grabbed the ladle spoon from my son's playroom. Item will be linked here from Amazon: https://a.co/d/4SrfOqR
We used both the 6 count bag (for the wall) and 48 count bag plastic Easter eggs (for the bin). Your kids will have fun escaping the eggs off the wall and the bin. A great way to practice their fine motor skills by scooping and cognitive development by problem solving.
Match the Eggs!
In this activity, you will need your 6 count plastic eggs and/or your 48 count from Target. I created a template with these specific egg colors to help with this project.
Print document(s), fill the sensory bin with grass filler and add plastic eggs of your choice. Starting on the top of the page, you can circle the egg you want to focus on then have your little learner match the colors together.
This matching activity will help them focus, problem solve and improve memory. Have fun matching!
Let's get Egg Scooping
Sensory bin or sensory table will work perfectly, along with a towel for the aftermath but water is an easy cleanup for this activity. We used the 6 count plastic Easter eggs and slotted spoon from my son's play kitchen.
Easter Egg Surprise
When I told my husband I wanted to 'egg' our close friend's house, he didn't hesitate to question what I was talking about. I thought it was funny but when I explained the surprise, he agreed it would be fun too! This Easter activity is great to send love and pure joy to a family with kids.
A quick run to Target and 2 printed docs later, we were on the way to egg their house! 😉
For this Eggstra fun surprise, you will need a 12 pack of plastic Easter eggs filled with treats, small-size Easter baskets, and a printer.
