Step-by-step Instructions

Pick a paper
Choose your favorite colored construction paper or cardstock!
We used cardstock from Hobby Lobby for this project but for our Halloween party, we're going to use our favorite construction paper. It's a great option and we use this for so many crafts.

Trace that monster hand!
Place hand flat on paper and trace around it with a pencil. It doesn't have to be perfect!
If you're planning on making a card: Fold paper in half, then trace on the folded edge and trace around it with a pencil.

Cut it out
Carefully cut around the line— you’ll have a full monster shape!
TIP: If your little ones are still learning to use scissors, you can do this step for them.

Add eyes & smile
Glue on googly eyes or stick on self-adhesive googly eyes, then draw a silly or spooky smile with a marker.
The self-adhesive googly eyes are GREAT way to make this completely mess-free, especially for curious toddlers! (IYKYK :D)
Decorate the monster
Glue on pom poms or color to give your monster extra personality.
We use these pom poms from Amazon for our projects and they are different sizes and textures.

You're Finished!
Display your monster or keep the fun going with the ideas below!
