You've Been Egged! Easter Activity
Once Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas festivities are over, it can seem like a long time until those seasons return. Surprise your family or friends with egging their house this Spring with a FUN Easter activity they will actually love!
I’m sure your eyebrows are raised and eyes are wide open! It’s the cute kind of egging to be done and the surprise they will get.
This post is all about our You’ve Been Egged Easter Activity.

You’ve Been Egged!
During Halloween, I was searching for the traditional “You’ve Been Booed” basket ideas and I came across another post but it was Easter and I thought it was seriously the CUTEST idea for the Spring!
'You’ve Been Egged' is a fun Easter activity for your family to surprise your friends or family (with kids) with this holiday. The idea is to put Easter eggs outside their front yard and attach a sign on the door, saying “You’ve been egged!”.
It’s that simple and a fun idea for families with young kids that they will love and have so much fun doing!

Materials Needed
All materials for this project were from Target and budget-friendly. However, if you are heading to the Dollar Store or Walmart, they have a great selection as well!
1. (12) Plastic Easter Eggs (filled with treats)
2.
Small Easter baskets (# of kids you'll be egging)
3. Popsicle stick and/or tape
4. Printed FREE PDF: You've Been Egged Sign + Instructions
5. Printed FREE PDF: We've Been Egged Yard Sign
6. Optional: Easter basket grass filler

Prepare To Egg!
Start by choosing the designated house you want to 'egg' (ex. family with kids) and reach out for the day you plan on surprising them. Keep in mind to plan a day that they will be home.
Once you've confirmed, make a quick run to your local Target to get a few items listed above and print out the documents. We celebrate Easter focused on Resurrection Sunday. If you are searching for a specific aesthetic, Pinterest and Etsy will be a great place to find something similar.
Prepare your Easter eggs by adding your treats and filling the Easter baskets with grass filler.
For our We've Been Egged Sign, we printed and laminated the document along with taping a stick to the back to place on the front lawn.
For our You've Been Egged Sign + Instructions, print and fold down the middle then place into an Easter basket or bring tape if you wish to place it on the door.
You are all set!
How To Egg!
1. Place We've Been Egged Sign on the front yard or tape to front window
2. Hide Easter eggs
3. Place You've Been Egged Sign + Instructions taped to the door or leave Easter basket with sign on the doorstep
4. Optional: If you know they are home and want a reaction video, you can let the parents know in advance.
Mission Accomplished! You've egged your first house! 😉
